In conjunction with Ballot Ready, #BlackWomenRun is a searchable, online database detailing the more than 500 Black women candidates who are running for office in the general election at the local, state, and federal levels in the 2022 midterms.
This one-of-a-kind resource aims to be a critical resource for voters seeking information about Black women running in their communities.
This year, a historic number of Black women are running for elected office in the general election and it has been truly inspiring to see them step up and give their communities a voice. Our hope is that this database provides voters with the resources they need to go to the polls this fall and make an informed decision on who they will vote for. When Black women win elections, they get things done for their constituents, and we look forward to seeing what these candidates will do in the future.
