Massachusetts House of Representatives 12th Suffolk District

Brandy Fluker Oakley has a long-standing passion for social justice and organized her first protest in the third grade. Fluker Oakley advocates for education equity and progressive causes. After graduating from Syracuse University, she taught third grade and was a member of the Baltimore Teachers Union before attending law school at Emory University. She became a public defender with the Committee for Public Counsel Services in the Boston Municipal and Chelsea District Courts. Fluker Oakley formerly served as a member of the Mattahunt Community Advisory Board and was active in Mattapan United. She is the founder and president of Delighting in God Ministries (D.I.G.).
