Indiana House of Representatives District 1

Carolyn B. Jackson’s experience as an adult probation officer and supervisor leads her to make neighborhoods ever safer, while ensuring that everyone is treated fairly. She has served as president of the Board of Directors for the Community Center Development Corporation, (Ophelia Steen Family and Health Services Center), the Hammond Library Advisory Board and is currently affiliated with the Hammond Branch of the NAACP, Northwest Indiana, the League of Women Voters Calumet Area, and Hammond High Parent/Teachers Advisory Board. Jackson earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sociology and Counseling from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo.
