Georgia State Senate District 35

Donzella James has been a champion of patient rights and mental health reform, partnering with the Citizens Commission on Human Rights to educate the public on the dangers of psychiatric treatment and to electroconvulsive therapy. She also has worked to reduce crime, strengthen drunk driving laws and promotes increased access to affordable healthcare and quality education. James is a retired federal employee and also taught in Atlanta public schools for more than a decade. She is a graduate of Morris Brown College and Georgia State University.
