Jannie Cotton was the first African American woman in Arkansas to serve as Chief Executive Officer of a community mental health organization. She also was director of Outpatient Services, expanding childrens’ services and early childhood services, and securing over $4 million in grant funding for the agency. Cotton graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and has a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Central Arkansas.
