North Carolina House of Representatives District 24

Jean Farmer-Butterfield was a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 24. On July 8, 2020, the North Carolina General Assembly confirmed Farmer-Butterfield to the Board of Review at the Division of Employment Security. The board is the body that reviews unemployment benefit decision appeals in the state. Farmer-Butterfield withdrew her candidacy for re-election as a result. She resigned from the state legislature on July 16, 2020, in order to assume her new position on the board the following day.
