Joyce Barlow is a servant leader who believes in helping others. She is a registered nurse and business owner with a commitment to service and over 25 years of experience. Her work has resulted in community care providers receiving a rate payment increase, and she understands that District 151 must have affordable healthcare with Medicaid Expansion, protect women’s healthcare rights, economic development and increase funding for quality basic education grades K-12. Having served on numerous nonprofit and for-profit boards, Barlow is the 2016 Recipient of the Distinct Award for Servant Leadership, winner of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Award and a graduate of Leadership Albany. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Barry University and has done graduate work at St. Joseph College in Business Administration and an MBA from American Century University.
