Joyce Griggs is a U.S. Army Lt. Colonel (Retired / Served 33 Years) who served in Iraq and as an intelligence officer. While serving in the U.S. Army, Griggs earned the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (with 3 stars), and the Parachutist badge. Griggs supports affordable health care for all Georgians, working families, and justice and equality for all. As a Savannah-based attorney, Griggs has provided services free of charge, earning her the Georgia Legal Services Pro Bono Award and the State Bar of Georgia’s Chief Justice Robert Benham Professionalism Award. Griggs is a graduate of North Carolina Central University and John Marshall Law School.
