Mary Flowers supports stronger oversight on prescription drug prices, specifically caps on the cost of insulin, Fair Tax Amendments to make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share in taxes, property tax relief for homeowners, funding for local public schools and increased funding for grants to help make higher education lower in cost. Flowers, who has served as a State Representative since 1984, received the 1993 “Legislator of the Year” award from Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association. She is a fulltime legislator who graduated from Kennedy King Community College.
