15th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois

Nichole Patton is a Cook County Circuit Court Judge currently assigned to the County Division. She presides over cases involving mental health law, adoptions, election law, civil asset forfeitures, name changes and real estate tax objections. Prior to her role in the judiciary, Nichole was an assistant state’s attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney Office, Special Prosecutions Bureau, Mental Health Unit, where she was responsible for prosecuting cases seeking civil commitment and treatment orders for individuals who were involuntarily detained at mental health hospitals in Cook County. From 2003 to 2010, Nichole was a sole practitioner with a concentration in real estate, civil litigation, criminal, and securities law. She is the former general counsel for Capital Management Group Securities, LLC where she was responsible for structuring and negotiating business transactions, performing due diligence, and drafting transactional documents.
