Regina Goodwin has worked as a state legislator to oppose the placement of a Juvenile Detention Center and promote the restoration and reopening of restroom facilities at Crawford Park. She also has led community policing efforts to build better relationships between law enforcement officers and communities. As an artist who creates animation and greeting cards, Goodwin led a grassroots community project to paint a Peace Mural, “Love and Let Live,” promoting community revitalization. She also spearheaded the implementation of African-American Studies in Tulsa’s Public High School curriculum. Goodwin earned her BFA from the University of Kansas and completed master’s degree course work in film at Columbia College in Chicago.
