Pennsylvania House of Representatives to represent District 185

Regina Young knew early in life that she could not stand by when encountering homelessness two decades ago. She decided to give hats and gloves to those who lived on the street. Through her determination to help others, the word got out about what she was doing and she was soon joined by her church members. Through her efforts an initiative was born at Bibleway Baptist Church on 52nd and Master’s Street in West Philadelphia. Today Young’s work continues as a community organizer. She earned an undergraduate degree at Central Connecticut State University and graduate degree at Eastern University.
