New York State Senate District 19

Roxanne Jacqueline Persaud spent many years as a higher education administrator before being elected to the State Legislature. She is a longtime advocate for the community, serving as the 69th Precinct Community Council in Canarsie, a member of Community Board 18 and Commissioner on the New York City Districting Commission.
She is a graduate of Pace University, from which she holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education Administration.
