Montgomery County Board of Education, District 4

Shebra L. Evans has long been a passionate advocate and activist for public education. She was first elected to the Montgomery County Board of Education in November 2016, and will serve a second consecutive term as the board president. She has served in numerous volunteer leadership roles with the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA), as a co-leader of the African American Student Achievement Action Group, and as a community partner with the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Evans received the Distinguished Advocate for Healthful Living Award in 2019 from the Society of Health and Physical Educators.
