California State Assembly District 79

Shirley Weber has spent her life working to improve education opportunities for everyone. She became a professor at San Diego State University at age of 23, and earned her Ph.D. by 26. She also served as a board member of San Diego Unified School District. Weber’s legislative priorities include strengthening civil rights and commonsense economic policies, improving education, and protecting persons with disabilities and voting rights.
She has served as an NAACP board member. Weber received her degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
