Briana Sewell, a lifelong Virginian from Prince William County, is the daughter of Air Force veterans who instilled in her the values of integrity and service. She attended Prince William County Public Schools and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from the College of William and Mary and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from American University.

Choosing public service over a corporate career, Briana returned to Prince William County to serve as District Director for Congressman Gerry Connolly, focusing on community engagement and constituent services. In 2018, she helped establish the Virginia Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy, advocating for policies like paid family leave, affordable child care, and eldercare.

Elected as a Delegate in 2021, Briana became one of the youngest women in state government, passing bipartisan legislation to support military families, increase teacher numbers, and protect child victims of sexual assault. Recognized nationally for her leadership and commitment to service, Briana continues to focus on the concerns of her community.
