A Lifetime of Public Service

As a graduate of Howard County public schools and Howard County resident for over 50 years, Terri has long had her pulse on this community. Her understanding of our vision and needs, and her ability to get things done as a legislator have led her to run for Congress.

Terri has served in the Maryland House of Delegates since 2015 where she leverages her background in engineering, medicine, and business to advocate for the betterment of our communities. She has spent a lifetime committed to public service and advancing the progress we’ve made as a country, both professionally and through volunteering and as a community activist. Now, she’s ready to take these fights to Capitol Hill to ensure the hard won rights we’ve enjoyed are not lost on future generations, and we continue to move the needle forward.

Rising to the Challenge

Informed by her career as a physician, Terri worked to make prescription drugs more affordable and pass abortion protections. She also fought for legislation in support of marriage equality and statues promoting environmental sustainability. At a time when women’s bodily autonomy, civil rights, scientific inquiry, the constitution, and the truth itself are under assault and families across the country are struggling with rising costs, Terri is prepared to stand up to extremists and help deliver the same results to Amerians across the country.

A Voice for the Community

In her personal life and throughout her professional career, Terri has been a listener before anything else. In medical offices, the grocery store, her church, public events and private gatherings, Terri listens. She knows this community and considers it an honor, privilege and duty to champion accordingly on their behalf.

Her understanding of the region and her ability to get things accomplished in Annapolis have led Terri to run for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she believes she can be a more impactful advocate for the people of Anne Arundel, Carroll and Howard Counties. She will bring her same sensibilities and expertise to a national platform and continue to listen and focus on quality-of-life issues – healthcare, climate change, women’s reproductive rights, education and our democracy.
