Jennifer Tyre serves as the Director of Digital Engagement at Higher Heights, where she leads the organization’s digital strategy aimed at amplifying the political power of Black women. As a seasoned communications professional, she possesses extensive expertise in content strategy, social media, email marketing, and digital storytelling.
Previously, Jennifer served as a Biden-Harris appointee at the Department of Homeland Security, where she directed the Department’s digital engagement on complex national security issues. She also has significant experience in the nonprofit and think tank sectors, having held digital communication roles at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Brookings Institution.
Jennifer holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from American University and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her work is driven by a commitment to equity, impact, and the power of narrative to inspire change.
