Shawn Rhea has more than 20 years experience advancing social change through the avenues of media relations, journalism and stakeholder engagement. She serves as Higher Heights for America’s content creator, supporting the organization in message development, editorial writing, member communications and creation of a broad range of collateral materials.
Rhea is the founder of Rhea Communications Consulting, a small, but highly dedicated shop that helps nonprofit and advocacy organizations tell the stories that connect with supporters and advance their missions. She uses narrative, message development, multi-channel brand proliferation, content creation and management, and donor communications to help organizations maximize the impact of their work and achieve their goals. Rhea has worked with organizations such as Year Up, Executives Alliance for Boys and Men of Color and Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
